I was thrilled to go to Portland, Oregon, for my next vocation adventure, as I had heard how amazing it is!
The area and people lived up to its billing, too! I saw lush vegetation, a gorge, and waterfalls everywhere. Thankfully, Lynn and Dan Jones, Serrans in Portland, and Fr. Jeff Eirvin, Archdiocesan Vocation Director, were my tour guides. We had a blast!
We even visited the Mother House for the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist just outside of Portland. Sr. Jacinta (pictured) showed us around the incredible grounds. The waterfall in the background of the picture is the view from their kitchen window. Breathtaking!
The next day, 50 parishioners, representing a large number of parishes in Portland and surrounding areas, came to the workshop to learn about promoting vocations! God bless all who heard the message! St. Alphonsus Liguori, pray for us!
