Fish Fry for Vocations

Most Knights of Columbus councils host a Fish Fry every Friday during Lent at their local parishes. By incorporating vocation promotion into one of these Fish Fry Fridays, hundreds of parishioners can learn firsthand about vocations. At these events, priests, religious men and women—both professed and in formation—and seminarians join parishioners for a meal, sharing free food and drink while engaging in meaningful conversation. Guests are invited to share brief testimonies about their vocational journeys, inspiring attendees of all ages—young, old, married, or single—to consider God’s call in their own lives. Even if you do not have speakers, the ministry could place prayer cards or other promotional materials to turn the event into a Vocations Fish Fry.
